Today
Holo plans to accept payments for hosting services primarily in HoloToken (HOT), with additional support for national currencies such as USD and EUR prior to the launch of the full Holo platform, and before the implementation of HoloFuel as the native hosting backed payment currency in Holo.

History
Holo Token (HOT) was designed and sold in 2018 as a placeholder token representing a future claim on HoloFuel credits within the ecosystem. The original ICO materials and Green Paper documented that HOT would be redeemable for HoloFuel at a 1:1 ratio once the HoloFuel system became operational. The technical infrastructure and operational arrangements for any such redemption process are subject to ongoing development, regulatory requirements, and will be provided by appropriately licensed entities.
